About

Help! Everyone has been teleported away randomly! As the heroic Captain Viridian, it's up to you to find your friends, bring them back to safety, and save the universe! VVVVVV is a platform game all about exploring one simple mechanical idea - what if you reversed gravity instead of jumping? The game is designed not to artificially gate your progress. In VVVVVV there are no locks, no power-ups, no switches, nothing to stop you progressing except the challenges themselves.

Things this page is missing or isn't precise about. Know the answer? A fix takes one click and a sentence, and the community picks it up from there.

  • License isn't a precise SPDX identifier — "custom:VVVVVV Source Code License v1.0" isn't a license id everyone reads the same way. The exact SPDX id tells you precisely what you may do.

  • Can't tell if it's free software — "custom:VVVVVV Source Code License v1.0" doesn't name a known free or proprietary license.
